

		Recar - Presenting a Legend In 1952, Jakob Mundt, an unemployed engineer, founded the company Recar. At the time, the main business revolved around the import and distribution of auto parts. Renowned companies soon realized the quality of the Recar parts, as well as the excellent value for money. Additionally, a well-developed inventory system helped the young company quickly gain success. Over the years, Recar has developed into a large corporation with over 20 stores, and approx. 420 employees. In 1971 Mundt decided to take a big step and enter into the complete production of automobiles. After a lot of hard work, 3 models were developed in the first year, and finally released in '73. A new star was born! The Sportivo, Marokant and Berungo models achieved great success in the US market, and less than 3 months later, the first orders came in from Europe. "Car of the Year" in 1979, 1982, 1989 and 1997 are only some of the awards our products have won over the years. Today, Recar is one of the world's leading automobile manufacturers.
