Edit
Work Request
You can edit any field in the Work Request by
either entering text in the fields, selecting pre-defined values
for lookup fields, selecting check boxes, or adding/altering
notes.
In this topic, you will learn about:
The
Edit Work Request Toolbar
The Edit Work Request screen contains the
following buttons. If you do not have one or more of these
buttons displayed in your toolbar, it is because you do not have
permission to use that feature.
- New - create a new request.
- Save - save all changes that have been made.
- Cancel - undo all changes that have been made..
- Note - add a new general note. The new note is added
at the end of all other notes.
- Discuss - add a new discuss note or alter an existing
discuss note.
- Flag - add a new flag note or alter an existing flag
note.
- Close - close the Work Request Detail screen.
- History - display the change history log for the
current request.
- Options - select personal user options for modes of
operation.

Creating
General Notes
To create a general note:
- Select Note. The note is added to the
bottom of the request form.
- Enter the text of the note.
- Select Save.

Discuss Notes
To create a discuss note:
- Select Discuss . The note is added to the
bottom of the request form.
- Enter the text of the discuss note.
- Select Save.

Clearing Flags and Discusses
To clear a flagged or discussed note
- Select Clear Flag
or Clear
Discuss from above the
note.
- Select Save.

Attaching
Files to Requests
To attach files to a request:
- Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Work
Request screen.
- Select the Attach
button in the Attachments section.
- Select the attachment method:
- Copy and Link
the File will create a
new file on the server and the attachment will be
linked to the file.
- Copy the File will copy the attachment directly to the
Team database.
- Use the Browse
buttons to select your file to attach.(You can attach up
to 4 files at once.)

Request Tips
The following are tips to remember when editing
work requests:
- required fields are marked with asterisks (*) and have red
field labels.
- you can only select a value for a lookup field by using the pre-defined field values.
- when using the calendar in the Target field, selecting Today will enter today's date in the Target field.
- to delete
a note, remove all the
text in that note.
- to download
an attachment, select the
link in the attachment section.
- to go
to a related request,
select the related request id in the related section.
