Because of extremely high costs of boats, fuel, skis and other equipment, water skiing is the second most expensive sport (golf is the first one). Above all, skis made from hi-tech materials and manufactured in US are not a cheap things. Competititons represent additional expenses for competitors.
The greatest part of my expenses takes Water Ski Club Havirov as arranging boat, fuel and coach for me. It sometimes pays my competition expenses, e.g. Czech Nationals. A grant from Czech Water Ski Federation is one of its source of money.
Before 1996, as a member of Czech national junior team, I was used to getting almost all my equipment from Federation, as well as going for international competitions. Then I got over age of 18 and now I have to take these expenses on my own. Well, I have to mention that Federation decided to compensate me all expenses with Under 21 European Championships if I reach 4th place or better. I`ll do my best to get some crown ;-)
What can I offer? Water skiing is getting more and more popular these days as a sport beautiful to see and crazy to try. Even TV and newspapers (and internet) show a deeper interest. For your financial support you can get the presentation of yourself, your company or your product. And of course, you can try water skiing and find its beauty.
Greatest thanks to RivalSport Comp. for its support throught my beggining, to TTi group, which gave me the GUL suit in 1999 season and to Pavel Batecko, who makes presentations for me.
