 Welcome to the English Pages of Czech Television (CT), the public service television in the Czech Republic. With its headquarters in Prague, Czech Television has also two regional studios in Brno (Southern Moravia) and Ostrava (Northern Moravia). CT was established in January 1992 as a successor of Czechoslovak Television. Czech Television broadcasts on two channels - CT1 and CT2, twenty - four hours a day. CT1 is a mainstream channel with lots of fiction, news, information, CT2 is more culture-oriented channel with minority and sport programming. Czech Television is financed from the licence fee, advertising ( maximum 1% of its air time) and other commercial activities.
