The Options DialogGoto: General | UserMenu | Files | Search I | Search II | HTML | Image | Others l
1 General
Headline: Defines the headline for the CD-cover, the HTML- and the textfile. You can get this information in the HTML-file if you use the <$title$> tag. Autosave Options: If switched on, CD2HTML will automatically save the settings in the options-dialog before closing. Size Format: You can choose how CD2HTML displays the size of a file/directory (fixed to Byte/KB/MB or Auto) Compression Tools: ARJ: Defines the path for the external ARJ archiver (arj.exe). Archiver: Defines the path for an external archiver of your choice (e.g. jar.exe). ArchiverExtension: Defines the extension for files created by the user archiver (e.g. for JAR-files you have to use a 'j'). ArchiverParams: This is the parameter you have to specify for the user archiver to extract a file (e.g. an 'e' for JAR). l
2 UserMenu
Ini-Settings: Work with different setups, which you can choose easily from the mainwindow. So you can convenient choose between presets for mp3, pictures or zip files. l
3 Files
Create one HTML-file: CD2HTML creates one HTML file for all entries. Limit entries per page: CD2HTML limits the entries per HTML page (prev<->next style). After reaching the given number, CD2HML starts writing a new html file. The name for the new file is the name you saved the first file plus '_nn' (e.g. your start file is 'index.html', then the next file is named 'index_01.html'). Entries per Page: This gives the number of files (mostly images) per page (see above). HTML Code for previous/next page: Below each page CD2HTML writes links to the previous page and the next page. Here you can decide what should be written (like: <--last page | next page-->). If there are more than 2 pages, CD2HTML aotomatically creates numbers for the other pages (like: <--last page|2|3|4|5|next page-->). Create one file for each Directory: CD2HTML creates different pages for the first and the second level. So you can navigate with the resulting html files like in a filebrowser. At the moment there is really only support for a two level representation. Root Level Layout: Here you decide which layout CD2HTML uses for the root HTML document (normally the index.html). Layout for other Entries: Here you decide which layout CD2HTML uses for the other HTML files (the files which the index.html is pointing to). These files will be named as the directories they describe (like 'system.html' for the directory named 'system') l
4 Search I
Search only directories: If you switch this on, CD2HTML will only search for directories and not for files. Use this, if you scan program-directories or something like that. If you leave this switch off, you are in the file mode. In this mode, CD2HTML looks for each file. Use this if you scan directories with archives or pictures. Wildcard: If you are in the file mode (see the switch 'Search only directories'), you can indicate which files CD2HTML should search. You can use wildcards to describe the files. If you use '*.*' CD2HTML will search for all files. For example if you have picture-directories and there are also text-files you can use '*.jpg' to get only the JPEG-pictures. But be warned, CD2HTML will list files twice when you describe them twice (e.g. '*.arj' and '*.a??' give you all files with the extension arj twice). Notice also that you can put only one description in one line. Searching depth: Here you indicate how deep CD2HTML should search in your directory structure. (1) means that only the indicated path will be searched. With (2), CD2HTML will search the indicated path and the next subdirectory. The value has to be between 1 and 100. Exclude: Here you can exclude files under a certain size (e.g. thumbnails). More will follow in a next release. Default: Sets all values to default. l
5 Search II
CreateLinks: CD2HTML will search for the files to link in the HTML-output. The files which should be linked are described in the 'LinkFiles'-box. LinkFiles: Here you can give a list of the files you want to have HTML-links to. You can get these files linked in your HTML-file with the <$links$>-tag. Wildcards are possible. This field is only used in the directory-mode. In the file-mode CD2HTML links only to actual file (only this makes a sense). Notice also that you can put only one description in one line. Search for description: Indicates if CD2HTML should search for description-files like the 'file_id.diz' or others. Search for the following files: filename: If you switch this on, CD2HTML will search for description-files which have the same name the file it describes and any other extension (e.g. 'ole2.txt' describes 'ole2.zip' and so on). Replace ANSI characters: A lot of descriptions have these stupid DOS-ANSI-graphics which look very bad under Windows. If you switch this on, CD2HTML will replace all ASCII-characters with an ASCII-code greater 127 with a character you choose in the 'ReplaceChar'-field. Replace with: If you use 'Replace ANSI Characters' you can choose here the character which replaces the ANSI-characters. You can just type the character you want or you can browse through all the ASCII-characters. Delete ANSI characters: This is nearly the same as Replace ANSI Characters but CD2HTML will remove ANSI-characters. Remove Blank Lines: Does what it says, all blank lines in description-files will be removed. Remove with less then XX letters: Lines in descriptions with not at least XX letters (a..z, A..Z) will be deleted. l
6 HTML
HTML-Colors: Browse for an HTML-color. Layout: This is the active layout. Save: Save a layout. SaveAs: Save under another name. New: Create a new blank layout. Delete: Delete the actual layout. See also the "CD2HTML's own HTML style" page! l
7 Image
Picture-X-Res, Picture-Y-Res, Picture-BorderWidth: Describing the resolution and the border-width for thumbnails. Thumbnails can be created only for GIF- and JPEG-files. Border Off: Switches the border off. JPEG-Performance: Use the fast integer method for fast reading or the more correct floating point method for best quality. JPEG-Reading: Read each, each 2nd, each 4th or each 8th point in the JPEG-file. For big pictures each 4th or 8th point is enough. JPEG-Progressive Encoding: Shows the image blockwise when decoding. So you get a fast preview before you see the image in full quality. JPEG-Interlaced: If you use this the created thumbnail will be shown very fast with a bad quality and at a second step with the full quality. This option is good for thumbnails which should be shown in the Internet. JPEG-Quality: Indicates the quality for the JPEG-thumbnails. A value of 100 is the best quality and 0 is the worst. A good choice is a value around 80. GIF-Transparent: The color in the upper left corner (if switched on, or define another color index) of the picture is used as transparent color. It means that this color won't be shown in the HTML-browser (is transparent). GIF-Interlaced: When reading an interlaced GIF, the viewer gets first all odd lines and then all even lines. Good to use on the Internet. l
8 Others
Registration: Register and unregister CD2HTML-documents (*.c2h). HTML-Browser: Choose between the standard-browser or a browser of your choice for the HTML-preview. Language: Choose the language of CD2HTML (except the help-file). Set "Auto" if CD2HTML should determine the system language automatically. |
