Using Macros

You use macros to specify the paths to files, ActiveX controls, and shortcuts. A macro represents a file path that can vary from machine to machine. For example, the location of the Windows folder can vary from machine to machine, and different users can install an application in different directories.

If your application stores paths in the registry, you can use macros to look for files, ActiveX controls, and shortcuts only in those locations. Otherwise, Triage Client searches the entire machine.

Similarily, if you know that a file should be in the Windows folder, you can use a macro to search only the Windows folder.
