RELEASE NOTES FOR SCOTLAND YARD VERSION 5.0 1/15/99 ===================================================== NEW! Scotland Yard now has reports! There are three new reports. Employee List, Employee List by Department, and History Log report. The History Log reports displays the status code changes per employee for a given date range. NEW! Scotland Yard now stores all status code changes into a History Log file. This information can be used to print history log reports for each employee. * There are 3 security levels in Scotland Yard. Scotland Yard security level 3 (the lowest level) no longer has the ability to view other employee's phone messages. * Status Code set-up is now available to the Administrative Security Level only (the highest level). * Change made to date input fields; there is now a date icon button next to all date fields that can be pressed to display a pop-up calendar for selecting date ranges. RELEASE NOTES FOR SCOTLAND YARD VERSION 4.1 11/09/98 ===================================================== * Created new data file for storing Status Codes/Descriptions. Companies can now have unlimited Status Codes/Descriptions. Versions prior to this release (4.0, 4.0a, etc.), had a limitation of 15 Status Codes and stored the settings in the scotland.ini file. NOTE: Status Code Descriptions can be added/editing/deleted in the Status Codes Set-up. The status codes data file uses a different technique for storing status codes. Therefore, after you install this version, you will need to update the status of every employee since the status code stored for each employee won't match the new data file. * Phone Message fix: Word wrapping is now on when entering a phone message in the MESSAGE section. Before this fix, you were required to hit Enter at the end of each line. * Phone Message fix: When adding a new message, the cursor is automatically placed on the "FROM" field. RELEASE NOTES FOR SCOTLAND YARD VERSION 4.0c 10/26/98 ===================================================== * Scotland Yard (scotland.exe) now does the message pop-up like the sign_in.exe does. * Added more icons for Status Descriptions! * When displaying the employees in the "Large Icon" view (in the Employee Detective), clicking once on an employee will display the employee's status, return time, and comments on the status bar. You no longer need to double click and bring up the sign in/out window to see the status of the employee. RELEASE NOTES FOR SCOTLAND YARD VERSION 4.0b 10/13/98 ===================================================== * Version 4.0b fixes a minor problem with the messages "pop-up" feature. Scotland Yard will now pop-up on the desktop (if it was minimized) for employees with new messages. RELEASE NOTES FOR SCOTLAND YARD VERSION 4.0a 10/8/98 ==================================================== * Fixed problem with manually entered returned time. With the new 4.0 version, the manually entered time was not saved correctly. RELEASE NOTES FOR SCOTLAND YARD VERSION 4.0 09/30/98 ===================================================== * Changeable Status Descriptions. Now companies can customize the status descriptions and the displayed icons representing the status descriptions to fit their companies needs. * Year 2000 Compliant. * Password field is now masked with "*" while entering the password. * Message pop-up changes. * Memory enhancement changes. * This update includes updated Visual Objects v2.0 Dll's and updated RDD files from Computer Associates. * Version 4.0 is not compatiable with the DOS Sign In/Out version. If you still have employees using the DOS version of the Sign In/Out program, then DO NOT UPDATE to version 4.0. The most recent version of Scotland Yard that still works with the DOS version is version 3.1 and can be downloaded from the web site (www.yale-software.com). IMPORTANT UPDATE NOTES - PLEASE READ! ====================================== This version of Scotland Yard allows companies to customize the Status Descriptions. Therefore, when you update your version of Scotland Yard to version 4.0, some of the icons displayed will not match the status descriptions. This is a one-time occurance. You will need to use the Employee Detective and update each employee's IN/OUT status. After each employee has been updated, you can then go into the Status Description Set-up (located under the File menu choice) and add/delete/change the Status Descriptions.
