Session Log
-
Net vampire 3.0 provides the same detailed session log as the previous
version did. Now it displays three last attempts to reduce memory consumption.
The whole log, however, is stored on disk. You can easily switch between viewing the
full log and the last 3 attempts. The log file is deleted either on
file transfer completion
or when the job is deleted from the list, at your discretion.
-
Histogram
-
A high resolution histogram is still available for those who know
how to read it. To hide the histogram, just select the black-on-black color scheme.
-
INF Files
-
A small .INF file with information about the session and the file can
optionally be generated for each downloaded file.
-
History
-
The History file in HTML format lists all downloaded files, again with important
details. Both the source URL and the received file are links, you can easily
open the local file or the URL by clicking on the link. When the History file
grows too big, you can safely archive and delete it. The file will be
re-created when needed.

Server statistics
-
Net Vampire collects statistics on all sites you are downloading from. Just
click on the Sites tab to see the number of files and bytes downloaded from
each site, the average transfer speed and the number of connection failures.
Restart support is indicated with a small pictogram to the left of the site
name. This info is also displayed in the Locations window to help you select
the best downloading location for the file.
-
Grand Total
-
The Grand Total dialog now displays both total files and kilobytes downloaded.
