IP Address Display
This tells you the IP address allocated to the registry key.
There are 2 possible cases:
If the IP is 0.0.0.0 then you have a dynamic IP which is allocated by your ISP when you connect to the internet. The value stored in the registry will always be 0.0.0.0 even after you connect to the internet and are allocated an IP. If you wish to find the IP allocated for your current session use winipcfg (Win95) or ipconfig (WinNT).
If the IP is non-zero you have a static IP which you have entered in
Network Neighbourhood or in the Dial-Up Networking options.
