FileRescue Installation

Important!
When installing the software, take into account what disk files were deleted from. If files were deleted, say, from the drive D:\, we strongly recommend you not to install the software on this disk. Choose a different drive for installation. Any local/network/removable drives are supported.

      If you've got FileRescue not from our web page, but from the other source (magazine CD or some software library), please visit FileRescue home page - you'll probably find the later version; usually, we release the updates about once a month.

      To install FileRescue from the folder where you have downloaded the distributive, follow this procedure:

       Choose Run from the Start Windows menu
       type the path to the necessary folder containing the FileRescue distributive, add slash ("/") and type setup.exe
       press the [Enter] key

      The FileRescue Setup program will issue a number of prompts. Unless you have a reason to override the defaults it is strongly recommended that you accept the installation default settings (just press OK, Yes, or Next, as appropriate).
