Vidmex supports various video and audio formats. Player uses common video codecs installed on your system for playback. DivX is very popular video codec, which can be used with this player in order to perform
necessary media operations. Vidmex can be used by default, so it is possible to associate player with media files (ASF, WMA, AVI, MP3, WAV, MPEG, WMV, etc.). For this purpose use options -> Register file types.
It's possible to register file types and also refuse changes at any moment.
You can use popup menu of playback window by clicking right button of mouse.
Vidmex player contains the standard controls for accessing your media. The following controls can be accessed from the buttons on the main window as well as the popup menu: Play, Pause, Stop, Next file, Previous file, BEGIN, END. You can load an existing media file by clicking Open. Subtitles can be loaded after opening the movie.
Size of playback window can be changed manually, so it's possible to watch minimized video
on top of all other windows. In fullscreen mode you can access main window controls by moving mouse cursor at the bottom of the screen, playlist - at the left edge, effects - at the top edge.
In popup menu "playrate" allows you to change playback rate for
video & audio. You can also change aspect ratio (original, 16:9, 4:3 or custom). During video/audio playback
you can select from pop-up menu "properties", where it's possible to configure filters and to view important properties of media file (such as stream length, frame resolution, framerate, FOURCC, depth etc.).
