What is the identificatory number?
After Bersoft Image Measurement is installed on a computer
it generates a unique identificatory number called ID #, which is based
on the hard disk C: volume serial number.
Because there is a direct connection between the activation file and the
C: volume serial number, if the hard disk is replaced, formatted or partitioned
or the file system changes from FAT32 to NTFS (like may happen when installing
Windows XP), the ID # may change.
The ID # is always shown at the bottom of the About window.
The ID # is used to generate the activation file, which in turn enables Bersoft Image Measurement. Therefore, if the program is installed on another computer or the hard disk is replaced, the ID # will change and a new activation file will be required to enable Bersoft Image Measurement.
We can supply additional activation files without any additional charges to all our customers, up to three files in a year.
That means three in the first year, other three in the second, and so on. If no additional activation files are requested one year, that does not grant the right to ask for additional activation files the next year.
