ATTRIB v2.1. Copyright (c) 1998-2003 Release date: 2002/07/01 License ------- ATTRIB is released under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL). For further information please read the file COPYING. Errorlevels ----------- For each event ATTRIB returns an appropriate exit code which can be used in "if errorlevel" statements in batch files: 0 completion successful; /? option used. 1 error to change attribute(s) of file(s). 2 no matching file(s) found for target(s). 3 error open file(s), pointed in /@ option(s). 4 error(s) in command line. Higher errorlevels should absorb lower errorlevels (for example, if there are errors to change attributes and no matching targets for other argument, then 2 will be returned). Example of using errorlevels: attrib -r *.dat>nul if errorlevel 1 if not errorlevel 2 goto noaccess Compiling --------- ATTRIB source tested with Borland C++ 3.1. To compile ATTRIB run cc.bat batch file. To compile or delete temporary files, the MAKE utility also can be used (see makefile). Known problems -------------- None known at now.
