New version of Norman Internet Protection (NIP) with a new and
more user-friendly interface. Since NIP is not proxy-based any
more, it is possible to run proxy-based applications with e-mail
functions without risking any conflicts between the programs.
New module
called Norman Cleaning Module (NCM) in on-access and on-demand
scanners. NCM is transparent to the user and performs clean-up
after a complex virus infection, where the virus has made registry
changes, for example. Dependig whether a viral process still resides
in memory to reinfect the system after cleaning the disk, the
need for additional fixes is otherwise reduced because the cleaning
process is more automated.
With the
new version of NDesk (v1.4) you can print lists of installations.
Ndesk's
Install Zanda dialog now has an option for creating a distribution
package like Selfxwiz.
On-access
scanner modules changed name to On-access scanner (Local users)
and On-access scanner (Services and remote users)
In the "Common
settings" module, a browse button has been added in the tabbed
dialog Exclude list.
In the "Utilities"
module you can now sort columns by clicking the column header(s).
