System Tray Icon

After the program is started, an icon, indicating the status of real-time anti-virus protection, will appear in the Windows system tray.

When real-time anti-virus protection of your files is enabled, the icon is red (active status) ; when real-time protection is disabled, the icon turns gray (inactive) , even if mail and script anti-virus scanning is enabled.

When the program is scanning your computer or a particular disk or file, or when it is analyzing an object in the real-time protection mode, the icon is located above a flashing white-and-blue folder: / . When mail is being scanned, an envelope will be displayed instead of the folder.

When an important event concerning anti-virus safety of your computer occurs, a recommendation from Kaspersky Labs experts will appear temporarily above the icon.
