Real-Time Protection

Immediately after the startup (that is indicated by the red icon in the system tray), Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal scans all objects executed at the operating system startup, as well as the computer memory and its program modules.
Real-time protection of your computer will use settings recommended by Kaspersky Labs experts as follows:
Real-time protection does not include scanning objects that cannot contain viruses.
Real-time anti-virus protection is enabled automatically after the system startup and remains active until the system shuts down.

You can disable real-time protection manually. In order to do this:
Real-time protection of your computer will be then disabled and the active icon (red) will turn inactive (gray).

We do not recommend that you disable real-time anti-virus protection because this considerably increases the risk of a virus infection.
