Capture 
 
The first step in analyzing your network traffic is to capture some of the packets of data. To start data capture, click the Start Capture button in the main window of the program or choose Capture - Start Capture in the main menu.
Depending on the settings you select, all or some of the packets are then processed and presented as in the following picture:
 
 
 
Packet Decoder
This displays the packet headers and data in a readable form. Right-click on this window to call a menu in which you can open or close the data tree and save it to a file.
 
 
Session
This refers to a set of packets captured from the network. Using the popup menu you can send selected packets to the network or copy any packets you need for the packet builder.
 
 
Packet Editor
This displays the contents of a selected packet so you can alter it and send it onto the network.
 
 
With this editor you can modify a packet and perform the following:
Saves the packet to a file.
Changes the size of a packet.
Updates the packet in the set.
Sends the packet. More
