Playing an MP3 or Other Type of Music File

To play an MP3 file or any other kind of digital music file, you can just drag it onto QCD, or you can use the Playlist.

To play music files by dragging onto the QCD icon:

This adds the file(s) to the QCD Playlist, and starts playback.

To play music files by dragging into QCD:

  1. Drag a music file, a selected group or music files, or a folder containing music files from anywhere on your Windows system onto the QCD player.

  2. Click the Play button in the QCD player.

To play a music file from the Playlist:

  1. Make sure the Playlist is displayed.  If not, click the Playlist button (#30 in the base skin) to display it.

  1. Click the Add button (#32 in the base skin), and then choose Add Music File.

  2. Find the folder containing the music files.

  3. Select the file or files you want to load.  To select more than one file, hold the Ctrl key while you select files.  To select a range of files, use Shift-click.

  4. Click Open.  This adds the selected MP3 files to the Playlist.

  5. Click the Play button in the QCD player.

To play a folder of music files from the Playlist:

  1. Make sure the folder contains only the music files you want to add to the playlist.

  2. Click the Add button (#32 in the base skin), and then choose Add Folder of Music Files.

  3. Find the folder you want to load, and click OK.
