How to play

Air Guard is a flying simulator. You are a fighter pilot trying to protect your base, citizens, destroying enemy fighters, bombers and positions. Game contains two modes: "Campaign" with 15 unique missions and "Battle" mode in which your only aim is to collect score points.

The game story takes place during World War II. In 1940, Germany decided to gain overwhelming superiority in the air to break the resisting nations once and for all. You have nothing to lose now. You decided to join the Air Force to defend your family and your country. The result of the biggest air warfare in history rests in your hands.

Campaign - At the beggining of each mission there is a short briefing. During the mission short radio messages, on the lower part of the screen, will make you familiar with changes in mission`s process.

Battle รป It's fast action flight where you must shoot down your enemies. You can upload your score to the Internet and compete with other players. Hi Score you can find here. You can upload score from the game menu.

- the main aim of the mission, you have to destroy it if you want to be successful in the mission
- anti aircraft artillery (if not the main aim)

- an enemy bomber
- green marked objects you have to defend

Controls

Control over aircraft - Mouse, joystick or A,W,S,D keys
Fire - Left click, Joystick button1 or DEL key
Drop the Bomb - Right click, joystick button2 or INS Key
Speed - Shift increases speed, Ctrl decreases speed
Camera - Arrows keys
Frames per second counter (FPS) - F key
Hide/unhide map - M key
Hide/unhide compass - K key
Camera 3rd person/cockpit - C key

Solving problems

  1. Game is running slowly Change on minimum (decrease resolution, level of detail and viewing distance, turn off highlights and shadows)
  2. Game is running but not properly (white textures on ground etc.). Change level of detail on minimum.
  3. It doesn`t work Make sure you have installed DirectX 8.1, if yes, change scene detail to minimum and turn off sound. If the game still doesn't run ask us for help via technical support.
