General Notes About the Interface

This section contains notes about the interface controls of FL Studio.

Wheels & sliders

• Common Features - All wheels and sliders in FL Studio are instances of the same type of graphic control. To set the value of any of them you can left-click them and drag up/down (left/right for horizontal sliders).
• Fine Adjustments - To fine-tune the value of a control, hold the CTRL key while dragging. Holding ALT and left-clicking a control resets it to its default value.
• Snapping - Some of the controls will pause for a while in their default values while you tweak them. If you want to avoid that behavior, hold down the SHIFT key while using a control.

LCDs

The value of the LCD control is normally set by "dragging" the screen with your left mouse button up and down (just like a wheel). But you can also increment or decrement the LCD value one step at a time: place your mouse pointer over the top (to increment) or bottom (to decrement) edge of the control - the pointer shows the increment or decrement cursor respectively (). Now click to increment/decrement the LCD value.

Scrollbars

Scrollbars in FL Studio have one special feature - drag them with your right mouse button (instead of using the left one as usual) to enter in a special scrolling mode, which allows you to drag the view simultaneously in all directions.
