To enhance your TalkingShowâ„¢ performance, adding expressions to your character while they are speaking not only gives spectators an exciting and humorous presentation, but also a chance for you to accentuate and highlight important concepts and ideas. Remember, before adding facial expressions, your visemes should already be in place (the voice clip has been recognized).
Be sure you are in the Head Animation Pack mode. Now, with your mouse, select an area by clicking where you would like the expression to begin in the Exp row, hold, and drag until where you would like the expression to end. The area will be highlighted.
There are a few methods for selecting facial expressions after you have selected an area. The first one is through the Expressions tab below the Preview window. Just click on its tab to access.
Pick an expression, drag it over the highlighted area, and release when the cursor transforms into an expression.
Another method is to simply right click in the Exp area and a menu will appear.
You may Insert a new one, Delete or Remove All the expressions. Choose Insert Expression...
Click OK after you have selected and have altered the intensity by dragging the slider left to decrease or right to increase.
You may also go through the menu HAP > Edit Selected > Expression. Click OK after selecting.
Tip: The easiest way of matching expressions, head motion, background music and image, or action is by selecting viseme(s) first. That way, what is spoken will blend in with everything perfectly! Just click on a viseme or a group of them, and then right click in one of the rows below for selection!
Tip: Be sure to use the Zoom functions located on the right toolbar for quick viseme selections.
