Equalizer

Menu Path: Options/Player/Equalizer

The MP3 Equalizer allows you to customize the frequency response of the music output. An equalizer will compensate for different listening environments or personal tastes. By upgrading to MUSICMATCH Jukebox Plus you can obtain full functionality for the equalizer.

The MP3 Equalizer will, by default, be off.

  • Choose Options/Player/Equalizer to display the equalizer control panel.

  • Click the Enable box to enable/disable the effects of the MP3 Equalizer.

The equalizer control panel consists of ten frequency controls corresponding to various frequency ranges from 60Hz (low bass sounds) to 18 KHz (high treble sounds), as well as a Limiter control to help control frequency amplitude (not loudness volume).

Increase or decrease the output of each frequency range by sliding its control button up or down. Your setting will be used for playback once set.

If you change your mind you can click the Reset button and the setting will go to the 'flat' position.

Auto Limit - Will control the 'amplitude' of each frequency so as not to exceed 'normal' levels, and to prevent distortion. Disabling Auto Limit may result in distorted sound, but will give you slightly more control over your listening preferences.

By upgrading to MUSICMATCH Jukebox Plus you may create and save your own presets. Arrange the frequencies to your preferences, name the setting in the Presets field and click Save. Your setting will be saved.

Equally, you may delete a previously saved setting by selecting it in the drop down menu and clicking the Delete button.

The MP3 Equalizer will not affect the output of CDs
