Start and exit preferences

These settings control how Opera starts up and closes down.

Start

You can start up either...

1. Continue browsing where you exited Opera last time
2. Show a particular set of windows you have saved earlier
3. Show your favorite start page
4. Start without any windows

If you want to choose between these choices every time you start Opera, then enable the start-up dialog.

In addition you can make Opera connect to the Instant messaging server, so you can receive and send messages straight away.

Exit

When you exit, Opera can...

• Ask you if you really want to exit.
• Automatically close your dial-up connections (if you have a non-permanent Internet connection).
