Registration

TVTool is shareware. The unregisterd version if fully functional but has a time limit of 15 minutes each session. A registration is required for unlimited use of the tool. The registration can be done at www.tvtool.com, the program fee is 12 EURO (~12 US$). The registration includes the support and all updates in the future. After the registration is done you will receive the full version and your personal registration data.

 

Command line parameters

TVTool accepts a number of command line parameters. These are :

  /nomsg surpresses any messages during TV mode, like 'Do you really want to change...'
  /tv turns on Entertainment mode
  /monitor turns on Work mode
  /close quits TVTool
  /setsound applies sound preset parameters
  /size1 enables standard size
  /size2 enables desktop size
  /size3 enables fullscreen size
  /1024 switches to 1024x768
  /800 switches to 800x600
  /768 switches to 768x576
  /720 switches to 720x480
  /640 switches to 640x480
  /pal enables PAL
  /ntsc enables NTSC
  /p60 enables PAL 60
  /standby toggles monitor standby mode
  /switch toggles between Entertainment and Work mode
  /timer starts and stops the timer, also an optional time out value can be added (e.g. /timer 90)
  /monoff turns analog monitor off
  /monon turns analog monitor on
  /show brings TVTool window to foreground
  /sendi2c sends an I2C command to the TV encoder chip. The format is : /sendi2c rr vv, where rr is the register and vv is the value to program. Both must be given in hexadecimal format. (e.g. /sendi2c b8 03)
  /resize enables resize mode
  /zoom toggles zoom window on/off

 

The parameters can be used in a shortcut (s. ill.), in a batch file or in a DOS box. They can be lined up in any order. For example the combination "tvtool.exe /pal /800 /size3 /tv" switches to PAL fullscreen mode @800x600. The parameters work at startup AND as long as the tool is active. So it´s possible to control the tool by another application for instance ('remote control').
