Videos
Adding a video
You can place a video on a page by clicking on the main 'image' area on the page layout and selecting a video file. CDR
Presenter will add the video file to your project and display a 'Play' button for the video when the presentation is run.
A maximum of one video per page is permitted. The video may be in the Video for Windows format (an AVI type file) or an MPEG file.
Video options
You can select options for the video on the Image settings display when you choose the file.
Autostart
The video starts playing automatically after a page has loaded.
Loop
The video is played repeatedly. This is most useful for videos which are intended as animated loops or sequences.
Full-screen
The video is played full-screen rather than in its window on the page.
Mute background music
CDR Presenter normally turns off any background music while a video plays. You can remove the check in this option to
leave the background music playing while the video plays. This option is usually used if you have a video or animation
in a Video for Windows (AVI) file that does not have a soundtrack and you want your project's normal soundtrack to
continue while the video or animation plays.
Video consideratons
Almost all modern Windows PC play Video for Windows (AVI) files so this is the best format to choose for widespread
compatibility. MPEG video files are generally better quality but not all PCs are correctly set up to play them.
CDR Presenter does not attempt to resize videos as it does images because doing so can affect playback performance
and quality. This may mean that a particular video is too large to fit in the image area reserved for it. In this case,
you should select a more appropriate layout (perhaps 'Big picture') or, if necessary, resize the video file in a smaller
format.
Your video is initially shown at its first frame on a page. If you are preparing the video especially for the
presentation, consider putting a special title frame or opening shot at the beginning of the file.
