Designer Quick Reference
You'll find more about the Designer's buttons at the relevant points throughout these help pages. However, here's a
summary of all the Designer controls which may be helpful.
File
Start a new project
Starts a new project.
Open existing project
Opens a project you've already made or are working on.
Export finished project
Provides information to help you make a CD of a finished project. This also includes two options which may help...
it can copy the files for the project to another location (perhaps a different PC on your network or onto a ZIP disk) or
it can simply open the folder with the files in, ready for you to drag and drop them into your CD writing software.
Exit program
Closes CDR Presenter.
Project
Project name
Lets you change the name of the project. The project's folder on your PC is renamed to the new name.
Window title
Lets you set the title of the presentation's window when it is running. This is shown in the title bar when the
presentation is running in a window.
Target disc size
Lets you indicate what size of disc you intend to put the presentation onto. This is used for the status display in
the Designer to show you continuously how much space you have used up and how much you have left. The size is used for
the status display only and doesn't affect the files in your presentation; you can ignore this feature if you don't find
it useful.
Style
Lets you choose the overall look or style for your presentation from a gallery of styles supplied with CDR Presenter.
A style is best chosen just after creating a new project but you can, if necessary, change it part way through.
Background music
Lets you choose background music for the presentation. A particular piece of music is suggested for each style but you
can opt to have no music or to select a different piece from those supplied with CDR Presenter or some other piece
altogether. Note that you can also control music or sound effects on individual pages within the presentation over and
above this overall background choice.
Preview project
This button hides the Designer and starts the presentation from its opening sequence. You can go back to editing at any
time by pressing Esc on the keyboard.
