You can add a variety of sounds to your Web site with the Sound Gallery. Web Studio comes with 300 sound files that range from hilarious to ominous. You can greatly enhance the effectiveness of your Web Pages by adding the right sound bite. Drag and drop a sound file onto an object and when that image is clicked on or the visitor moves their mouse over the object the sound will play. Experiment with the different sounds and see which ones liven up your site.
You can preview the sounds by double clicking on them in the Sounds gallery. They will also "preview" when you drop the sound on an image, including the background!
In addition to the existing sound clips in the program you can add Wav files (digitally recorded audio or sound files) to your Web page very easily. Check out the section on Working With Sounds for step-by-step instructions.
Important Note: When you drop a sound on an object and preview your Web page, the sound becomes resident in the cache of the browser on your system. (The cache is designed to speed up the loading of Web pages by storing elements of a previously visited Web page on your local drive.) Any subsequent attempts to change the sound will work and upload correctly, but when previewed the original sound will be retrieved from the cache and played. There is no work around at this time.
