Slide Shows

There are 6 varieties of Slide Show.

· Drag the slide show onto your Web page and position it where you want the images to appear.

· Once you release the mouse cursor, the Slide Show properties box will appear.

· Change Slides: There are 3 "change slides" options.

1. Automatically every 10 seconds: The images will change every 10 seconds on the finished Web page.

2. By Using Next and Previous Buttons: Two buttons will appear on the finished Web page and allow the visitor to page through the slides at their discretion.

3. By Clicking on Slides with the Mouse: The user clicking on the slide with the mouse button changes the slides.

 

· Background Color: You can customize the background of the slide show by choosing one of the two options.

1. Use Page's Color: Sets the current Web page background color as the slide show backdrop. If a background graphic is being used, the default color is white.

2. Select Custom Color: Clicking this button activates a color window, allowing you to set any Windows color for you slide show background.

· Once you have set the slide style and background color click Next.

· Adding Images to the Slide Show: You can add slides (or "attach files") to the slide show in the Attach Files dialog box.

· Add Files to the List: The list of files or images that will play in your slide show can be created and added to by using this button. Click the button and add files using the Open Files Dialog box. ÜUsage Tip: You can add multiple files in a folder by holding down the CTRL key and clicking on the files with the mouse. The files will become highlighted and you can add them at the same time. You can also add files from different folders by navigating to another folder and repeating the selection process.

· Delete Files from the List: Highlight one or several of the files that you wish to remove from the slide show and click the Delete Files from List button.

· Verify Files from List: Checks the Hard drive to ensure all files are present.

· Once finished click the Finish button and the slide show will now appear on your Web page. You can see how it looks and functions by going to Web>Preview Web Site.

· Note: The size of the Slide Show will correspond with the size of the largest graphic within the show. You cannot resize the show once added to the page. To resize, you need to resize the individual images themselves.

Important Note: The Slide Show will only work with JPEG and GIF files only! In addition, there must be no spaces in the file names.
