Burst Protection The burst protection dialog box sets the parameters of the modified Cheapo Protection that works in OOE. Cheapo Protection can lower the volume whenever a noise burst happens, protecting the speakers, the user's ears and his sanity. Silence Time - The time in milliseconds that silence should last. Release Time - The time in milliseconds that the silenced signal should be brought back to normal. Peak Threshold - The threshold when the signal goes over a certain amplitude. Delta Threshold - the threshold when the signal's derivative goes over a certain amplitude. Enable Burst Protection - Enables noise burst protection
