Changing rule priority

To change a rule priority of an application:

1. Select Options

2. Select Application

3. Highlight the application

4. Click Edit

5. On the drop down list, select Modify rules...

6. Highlight the rule to modify

7. Click on Move up to increase the rule's priority or Move down to lower it.

8. Click OK.

Important

Outpost Firewall uses the first instance of a rule having several criteria that match the application's activity and ignores all subsequent ones. The rules in the firewall rules list are processed in the order in which they are listed. Once a rule is matched, searching of the rules list stops. In other words, any other rules that match this type of communication are ignored, if they are further on the list than the first rule that matches.
