Signup Online, Download and Install the NetZero Software



Go to www.netzero.net and click on the Download Now! Click Here link to get started.

1. Click on the Click Here for English button. Skip to Step 2.
   
   Note: If you are already a NetZero member and need an upgrade or a copy for a
   friend, click on the Click here link under Need an upgrade or a copy for a friend.

2. After reading the NetZero Terms and Conditions, click on the I Accept button.
   
   Note: If you do not accept the terms of the agreement by clicking on the I do not
   agree with the Terms and Conditions link, the account setup will terminate.

3. In the Member ID text box, type your desired Member ID.
4. In the I want my password to be text box, type in your desired password.
5. In the Confirm password text box, type in your password again.
6. In the My Password Question is drop-down menu, select a question.
   
   Note: In order to make a positive identification, a Customer Care representative
   will ask you this question when you inquire about or attempt to make changes
   to your account.
   
   
7. In the answer is text box, type in your answer.
   
   Note: This answer must be provided to a Customer Care representative in order to
   complete the positive identification process.
   
   
8. Click Next.

9. Answer the Member Profile questions about yourself and click Next.

10. Answer the Member Profile questions about your household and click Next.

11. Answer the Member Profile questions about your vehicle(s) and click Next.

12. Read the Privacy Statement and check the appropriate boxes regarding your interests.

13. Check the boxes regarding other interests and select the buttons regarding which
    ones that you would like to receive e-mail on.

14. Complete the remaining questions and click on the Submit button.

15. Click on the appropriate button to select your start page (the page that loads when
    you sign on to NetZero).

Note: If you have chosen a Member ID that is already in use, you will be prompted
to select a new one.



Type an alternate Member ID in the text box provided and click on the Submit button.

16. Click on the Download button to begin the download and auto-install process.
    
    
    
    • If you would like to download the software without installing it, click on the

    • If you would like to download the NetZero software to floppy disks, click on
      the Click here to download NetZero software to diskette link at the
      bottom of the page.   Click here for instructions and screen shots.
    
    
17. A new window will appear with the following screen.
    Note: There will be no image above "click here."

Important: Wait for one of the following screens to appear:


Internet Explorer Users: Click on the Yes button to continue.



Netscape Users: Click on the Grant button to continue.



If you see a window with a message stating "You must enable AutoInstall...," Click here.

18. The "Install From the Web" screen will now have an icon above "click here."

19. Click on the Install Shield Wizard icon to continue.

20. Please wait while the Install Shield downloads.

21. Please wait while the Install Shield installs.

22. The NetZero installer is now being prepared.

23. Please wait while the Install Shield download completes.

Installing NetZero

1. Read the Welcome screen and click Next. You may want to exit all Windows
   programs before running this Setup program depending on the amount of memory
   that your computer has.
   
   Note: If you want to stop the installation at any point during this process,
   click on the Cancel button.
   
   
   
   • Click on the No button to continue or Yes to quit the installation.

2. Read the NetZero Terms and Conditions and click Yes.

3. Read the NetZero Privacy Statement and click Yes.

4. Read the NetZero Acceptable Use Guidelines and click Yes.

5. Read the NetZero License Agreement and click Yes.

6. Click Next.
   
   Note: If you want to change the destination directory, click on the Browse button
   and select a new destination.

7. The NetZero software will now download and install automatically over the next
   several minutes.

8. Click Yes if you would like to run NetZero every time you boot up your computer.

9. Click on the Finish button to exit and launch NetZero.
