[About The Guide]
License agreement:
------------------
This Library, EXPAND.LIB, its accompanying documentation,
and the demonstration programs are copyright (c)1990,
1991, of the author, Pepijn Smits.
The Expand package is distributed with the following
concept: You need to register this package when and only
when it is used to develop Commercial software with it.
Commercial software is software that is intended to be used
in a Commercial environment, be it a company, governmental
or whatever other organisation.
This means that you may evaluate, and use the Expand package
costless for an unlimited amount of time, as long as you
do not charge (or are being paid) for any software that has been
developed using the Expand library. There are 3 possibilities
of registration, read the appropriate section when you
consider registering.
Once registered, there is no run-time royalty, nor is
there a limitation to the usage of the registered library
in any program. Registered versions of the library may of course
only be placed on one computer at a time, by the company/person
who registered for the library.
You are free to distribute/sell programs that have been
linked using this library without mentioning the presence of it.
This, however, only applies to programs actually Linked with
this library, see next paragraph for distribution policy.
You are expressly prohibited, however, from distributing
the library without an unaltered copy of the library and
this document. You may, however, add files to the package
or modify the demonstration programs, providing you expressly
indicate that those have been added or modified. Needless to
say, the registration remains only the property of the
original registrator, and can thus not be redistributed.
Non-profit organisations are prohibited from charging any
fee for distributing the library and its documentation
that exceeds by more than . 20,- (. $10 US) the currently
prevailing cost of materials distributed. Neither the
library nor its documentation may be included in any
commercial package whatsoever, without prior written
consent of the author.
The author shall not be liable for any direct, indirect,
consequential or incidental damages resulting from, or
seeming to result from, use, test or distribution of the
library and the accompanying programs.
The author does not hold any obligation to inform users
of anomalies, or other behaviour of functions other than
mentionned in the documentation. Great care has been taken into
the writing, documenting and testing of the functions, but
guarantees cannot be given for every possible situation.
Use of this Library constitutes agreement to the
preceding paragraphs, as well as to the proposition
that by such use you become bound to the terms of this
agreement.
