Netscape 8.x Help

If PAL determines that your Flash® player is still out of date after updating on Adobe's website, please follow these instructions:

  1. Note that there is a small icon at the bottom left corner of Netscape's browser window. It should show either an Internet Explorer icon, or a Firefox icon.
  2. Click on this link to goto Adobe Flash® Player's download page again.
  3. If necessary, click on the small icon and select "Display Like Firefox" and allow the page to refresh.
  4. Follow Adobe's instructions to update Flash® player. If the small icon changes during this process, manually switch it back before proceeding.
  5. If necessary, repeat steps 2 thru 4 but select "Display Like Internet Explorer" instead. This will ensure that Flash® player is installed in both of Netscape's display engines.
