There is no such thing as absolute safety. You could be crossing the
street tomorrow, and be run over by a Ford pickup. And explain to me
how fixing food in McDonald's is more dangerous than cooking in your own
kitchen. 90% of all freak accidents happen in the home.

And that "wise guy" you're talking about probably got started doing the
same, or a similar "repetative, dangerous" job. Not everyone in a management
or executive position got there by inheritance or brown-nosing. I myself am
still in a job (data processing and clerical) that involves a lot of
repetition, and attention to detail is a must (And before you flame me
for my grammar and spelling, it doesn't involve much typing.). The pay is
not bad, but I'm far from rich.

Instead of trying to start a [futile] movement to shut down the corporations,
how about trying to work with them? To say that there is a lack of communication
between the bottom and top rungs of the ladder is an understatement. Posting whiney and ridiculous "start-a-revolution-organize-a-union-kill-all-capitalists"
messages is not improving your situations.

Get together with the business owners, or write the corporation (Do it
together, not individually), and try to constructively resolve your
differences. I have never seen the balance sheet of any franchise owner
or fast food chain, but if they can afford to pay you more without raising
the price of their products, then see about bargaining for the best wage
they can pay.

But here again, no crew position is intended to make for a permanent
career.
