McSweatshop-sweatshop in Vietnam

The other day I saw an article in a newspaper called "Generation Next" about a sweatshop McD's has been running in Vietnam paying SIX CENTS AN HOUR! Before you think this is good money in Vietnam, keep in mind that a basic meal there can cost as much as 70 cents U.S. As a result, if one of these workers eats lunch bought on the open market, he loses money for the day. In addition to the execrable pay, the fumes from acetone(a common solvent used in lacquer thinner {di-methyl ketone chemicallly}) have become so high inside that one time 200 workers became so sick they had to be hospitalized. Knowing the flammability of acetone, this could also have blown the whole place up and killed everyone inside. I still remember as a child, when using acetone in building model aircraft, my father's warnings that the stuff was nearly as explosive as gasoline! It would not cost these people that much money to put in a simple forced-air ventilation system to expel the fumes, but they REFUSE to do it. I doubt that the issue is electricity, since it is a factory-and every factory I've ever seen depends on electricity to run the machines. Even an old "lineshaft" factory taking all rotating power from a water wheel or combustion engine could still run a set of fans or roots blowers(used in coal mines in Britain over a century ago) to bring in fresh air and expel fumes. I suspect the reason for no fans is the same as the reason the factory is in Vietnam in the first place-to save money. It would just cost these pigs too much money to put toys made with U.S. or even Mexican labor in these "crappy meals," it seems. I say to hell with Hercules anyway! If you think McJobs are bad here, just check out what this greedy company is doing overseas!McLibel my buns!
