Somebody will take McDonald's place

Well, my point was that if McDonald's didn't exist (or would, fortunately, cease to exist) wouldn't its' place be occupied by other restaurants (serving decent food). Wouldn't those restaurants sell Coca-Cola (or other soft drink if Coca Cola were to cease its existence), use kitchen appliances, equipment, power, etc? If Volkswagen were to go out business, wouldn't Peugeot and Fiat sell more cars (and consume equal amount of steel). What is this foolish concept of mcDonald's the Savior. If it goes kaput, people will jobs, power consuption will fall and economy collapse? It won't. It is called capitalism. Somebody will
take McDonald's place as fast as it would become vacant.
