: : Maybe you guys spend too much time enjoying yourselves.
: : Compared to UK McDs the Belgian (and French) stores are filthy and
: : slow...: Wow, that's a huge generalisation. On what is this conclusion based?
Yes it was a generalisation. I have eaten at about 5 McD's in and around Brussels all of which were dirty especially the dining areas and toilets (I would hate to take a close look at the kitchens and behind the grills and backroom). The food is often very old: burgers wich are kept in the production bin for more then half an hour. Very very old chicken McNuggets...etc. I have experienced this in all of the McDs I've visited in Belgium.
France was even worse. I used to live opposite the store in Place des Innocents at Chatelet-les-Halles in Paris. It was a complete dive.
: : Also the situation in Belgian is not comparable to the UK. In the UK
: : we have no minimum wage and no obligation to pay overtime rates.
: I agree. But that's because the Belgian government cares about their : people.
Yeah...especially young children.
:I think that this isn't a problem that's caused by McD's but by the UK :government. They are allowing that company's aren't obligated to pay :overtime rates.
So they really don't give a damn after all.
None.
