: Burger King treats their employes like they are not human.I would just say I agree with that entirely. I worked at BK and two of my fellow crew workers had worked in Mcdonalds and they said they were treated better there. We got paid ú3.20 an hour.
Firstly, We only got paid for the time we worked. For example, on one bank holiday management predicted that we would get a lot of custom so they had lots of staff working but after lunch it got really slack. There must of been two people in DA. So they put me on break i.e I was clocked off. I realised that there was 14 crew on braek and not being paid. I had to wait 2 hours before I was allowed to go home. All that time I was just waiting, getting bored and not getting paid. People may ask: "why didn't you just walk out if you wern't getting paid?". It was made clear that if you walk out you get the sack.
I can tell you of many occasions where meat was dropped on the floor and we were told to pick it up and put it in a bun and sell it. Our shift manegers who was Spanish used to simply shout "hurreey, hureeey, hureeey". Sometimes the broiler would not work and the burgers were undercooked. On one famous occassion, a new guy sprinkled salt on the fries but the top came off and ALL the salt went on the fies. They were revolting I had them for lunch! There were people paying good money for it and nobody complained.
Some of the things that go on in the kitchens were absoluteley disgusting. The Britsh public just put up with it. I would never eat at a BK again.
I WOULD SAY TO ANYBODY WORKING AT BK, YOU CAN DO SO MUCH BETTER, YOU DESERVE BETTER.
None.
