The lettuce on your McChicken was brown because the burger was probably out of time. Burgers only last for 10 minutes in the production bin and it was most probably left in there longer. It goes brown becuse it loses moisture from the heat it is kept in. The best way to get around it is to ask for a freshly cooked on.
