Instances involving dangerous food preparation I have noted in McDonalds Grafton St, Dublin.1. Meat which has fallen onto unswept, filthy floor, being placed back on the grill. Manager claimed the heat would get rid of the germs.
2. Dressing such as lettuce, pickle, e.t.c taken from bins and placed on product to be consumed by customers.
3. Toasted buns removed from floor and used on hamburgers.
4. Chicken not being probed after cooking. This is a vital procedure as it prevents the spread of samonella.
5. Infestation of ants and beetles in and around the kitchen, specifically the pie/fillet station and also in the lobbies. Managers are aware of this, yet have made no efforts to address this problem.
OTHER PROBLEMS INVOLVING CREW.
1. Crew staff deal with homophobia, sexism, and from certain managers, physical abuse.
2. They are constantly reminded of their worthlessness, with the fear of expulsion hanging over them.
3. They are underpaid and overworked, so that the customer can pay as little as possible for contaminated, dangerous trash.
