Stop bleating and tell us what you think

Something I've noticed from some in-depth (I scrolled to the bottom!) examination of this page is the increase in the number of McD's staff postings. And the flavour of the moment seems to be either how the Golden Arches have saved them and made them free, or how they will take sage advice from these pages and mend their ways. Add to that the pleas to leave the staff alone and you donÆt have to have too suspicious a mind to wonder if there is a conspiracy of nice-ness going on, and, worse yet, if the eveil empire itself is getting its acolytes to bombard these pages with their own propaganda. Yes, alright, the customer interface, the people that you and I meet, are human, so why not leave McD's alone?

What a load of poppycock! I doubt any of us have anything against the staff of McDonalds, only the methods of their employers. Yes, they may be fine employers in some cases, but that does not in any way obviate the whole raison d'etre of this site and the whole anti-McD's movement.

If your employers are such saints, tell me and tell the world why they ever embarked on the folly of such arrogant and ill-planned bullying as they have done with this McLibel case? I don't want to hear how good they are to work for, that point has been dealt with by me in previous postings. I don't want to hear how you'll change the practices in your 'restaurant' or how the staff are distressed by anti-McD's action. Just tell me how you can justify working for a company that has spent millions on a lawsuit that has done them more harm than good, whichever way that Justice chooses to see it, and thousands before that in incompetent espionage schemes. Tell me how you feel about the outrages against workers rights being perpetuated world-wide. Tell me how it feels to work for a company that has gone on record with one of their upper-echelon managers saying that eating a burger could make you tall, and strong - and white!

Never mind the uniforms and training, come on, tell me what you really feel about what your clown employer has done here. We're all waiting.
