You seem to imply that the "employee" has moral right on his/her side simply by virtue of being in a position of less power. While might does not make right, it does not make wrong either. Did the employee in question have given the extra McNugget to his friend because said friend was starving, or as an act of friendship? Such a gesture becomes less noble, in fact meaningless when it is not coming out of one's own pocket. It's easy to be generous with someone else's product.
