I do not work at McDonald's, but was a restaurant manager for 10
years. At the start of my career I learned from a very domineering
individual that thought the only way to accomplish goals was by
fear. And all of the employees were terrified of her. I realized
that I did not want to do this when I took over my own restaurant.

I had the pleasure of learning how to better treat employees by
another area supervisor. I know that God helped show me that you
have to treat others as you would want to be treated. I am afraid
what is happening is that companies are expanding so quickly
looking for that almighty big bottom line that they completely
forget what got them there in the first place.

It is called people, and they are what makes it go. They now stick
almost anyone with any experience and then they do not treat them
well and, in turn, managers do not treat employees well. It takes
a special person to be a manager, but a really great one to be
a leader of example. Thank You,

Randy L. Adams
