I work at McDonalds in Ontario. I think that it is really great
that you have this page because it gives me an opportunity to learn
important things that my employer doesn't want me to know. My McD's is
privatly owned and I don't think that even the owner/operator is aware
of some of the things you mention in your page.At my restaurant, there
are many problems with inconsistant management and unhappy employees.
However, my restaurant is very clean and I think that this is important.Recently, the employees at my resturant have had some privledges taken
away from us that our handbook says we get. We are not allowed to have
drinks while working. Do you know how hard it is to work even a 3 hour
shift over a hot fry vat, grill, or talking on a headset and not be
allowed a drink?I would be interested in starting a union for our
employees, but I know that I would get in trouble.I haven't finished
going through all of your information, but I have learned a lot. I will
share your address with mt friends who work at McD's.______________________________

Have you read about Sarah Inglis' experiences in trying to unionise her store in Orangeville?
None.
