It would never work.

I don't think that that solution is at all plausable. Here's why:

First, kids want their toys. They want them right away. This is an age of instant gratification, Mike. Little kids won't stand for that waiting crap. I know that I hated it when I was a kid. Sending in box tops for some crappy little toy was so nerve racking. I could hardly contain myself. No little kid is going to want to wait for a crappy meal toy that costs 99 cents.

Parents would be pissed. They come to McDonald's to apease their screaming little kids only to find that there's no toys, you have to wait 6-8 weeks for the toy. And they have to fill out paper work as well.

Lastly, and most importantly, corporate would never go for the idea. One resturant goes through hundreds of toys per day. Multiply that by the number of resturants in the region, that's a lot of cards. They would have to hire people to deal with all of the mail, and they would have to pay postage. Not to mention warehouse space and handling. Do you think that McDonald's will simply absorb those costs? Of course they won't, they will be passed on to the customer.

After all of this trouble, what are you left with. Pissed off kids, parents, and customers. But at least the crew would be happy.

Joey
