: Well, what do you expect working CREW in a fast food joint?!! It's an
: ENTRY LEVEL position!!!

Don't talk crap. Doesn't a person at "entry level position" need to eat, drink, travel, pay rent, pay bills...? And don't these all cost money? Is it justified to exploit the crew so intensively just because they are at the bottom of the ladder? Your answer is mery probably an emphatic YES. Only because you have no compassion or conscience. All you can think about is profit, profit and more profit. But there is more to life than exploitation and profit. Even the judge at McLibel cse thought the crew are exploited excessively at McD. The crew work bloody hard under pressure in a hostile environment. Their job is certainly more demanding than the managers (By Paul Preston's own admission). So why should they grin and bear the crappy low wages that McD offers them. And don't tell me they have a choice to promote themselves or leave McD. There is very little possibility of promotion at McD. Yes they may promote some staff within the company but at the end of the day there is only a limited number of vacancies in managerial position and in any event even managers are not that well paid for what they are asked to do.

The crew should stand up for their rights and demand what is rightly theirs - a fair share of the company profit for the massive contribution they make to its creation.

: Call me a selfish asshole, but I personally don't want to pay $9 for :a combo meal or $5 for a Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese alone.

Have you ever thought that you can reduce prices by being prepared to lower your profits. Why should it always be the workers who suffer for the customers benefit? If McD really cared about their customers and staff as they claim, then increase unjustifiable low wages and produce better quality food at lower prices. But I am sure they will never take this advice because they are more concerned with their fat profits than anything else.
