i hope you come back to read this because I have weird email and i cant mail you through hypertext but anyway.

i understand the problem with your family and i hope this doesn't sound "bad" but if you feel as strongly about vegetarianism you won't eat meat (or dairy of eggs for that matter) go to a dietition with your parents, or a cheaper way would be to have them read a book -Diet for a New Planet- being the best, about vegetarianism. if that doesnt work and your parents really put their foot down i cant tell you what to do. that is your decision but try try try to educate them.

they probably rely on "the food pyramid" for their knowledge of nutrition you might point out that those food pyramid charts are printed and distributed by the meat and dairy industries and do not have widespreas support among doctors. according to dietitions you need half as much protein as you would get by eating a diet that consisted only of pumpkin. soybeans have more protein than many kinds of meat and definitely more than dairy. tofu has 5 times more protein per calorie than does beef.

the fact is that eating healthy when you are a vegan or vegetarian is EASIER than if you eat meat i wish you the best of luck
