Poor argumentation

Well, as an atheist I most certainly agree with you that we need to adopt rational solutions. After much thought, I am convinced that any rational, intelligent person will convert to a vegan diet. Your argument is essentially that nature is cruel, so we should be cruel as well. Now, for a supposedly rational individual such as yourself, this strikes me as downright STUPID. What you need to understand is that humans, while we are a part of nature, are also superior to animals in many ways (and in many ways we are inferior-animals didn't create religious persecution, racism, corporations, etc) Because we possess the ability to rationalize our actions, and because we ALL believe (I know you do too) that inflicting suffering on others is wrong, we ought to choose not to inflict death and agony on the innocent. Your fallacy lies in that you propose humans act like animals. This is downright nutty!!! If you saw a coyote kill an animal in the wild and eat its body, and then they coyote cleaned his anus with his tongue, would you do the same? NO, of course you wouldn't. Some animals eat their young, so should we? NO, that would be pretty fucking dumb. It is therefore illogical to apply laws which non-human animals follow to our own lives. LIVE VEGAN, my free-thinking friend.
