On the subject of the gender demographic for animal rights activists, I suspect you are correct in your perception. Actually, when one thinks about it, the same is true of a lot of organizations. It seems like most political parties run predominately male candidates, but the bulk of the volunteers who do the work in the trenches are women. Religious organizations - ditto. Hmm....
