: > GOD gave us a few sets of teeth
: > one to rip flesh the others to cut and chew?: I think you have it wrong here. God only gave us one set of teeth (well , two if you count the milk teeth - but one set at a time anyway). Our teeth are more similar to herbivores than carnivores. We do not have the well developed canines that, for eg. a cat has. Also, if you study the rest of our anatomy - like the digestive tract for example - you will see that our bodies are not well suited to a meat only diet. There is a lot of literature that supports this point of view.
: > Also on this subject why do a majority of vegetarians
: > wear leather shoes? answer:to stop their feet sweating,

: On this point I must concede that I am vegetarian and, yes, I do wear leather shoes. I'm not proud of this and if there were a viable alternative I would prefer to use it. I see this as a result of where our society stands at the moment on these issues. I do believe that things are changing for the better and hopefully in a few years time it will be difficult to find a pair of leather shoes!
: As for people eating fish or wearing leather shoes, I do believe that at least these people have a conscience and are actively trying to change their way of life for the better. They have begun a journey to rid their lives of all products which have involved the suffering of another living creature. It does not happen all at once. At least they have made a start. Their eyes have been opened!
